Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. When I saw the All my Love stamp set from Concord & 9th I thought it would be a beautiful stamp to watercolour with heat embossing. This technique is great for small stamps like this where you may struggle to keep within the lines or where you struggle painting small designs. What's more, adding a light wash of the colours over the design, allowing the colours to bleed out the lines adds a lovely soft touch to your edges without stark white borders.

Start off by stamping the design in a light colour of ink in your MISTI stamping platform - do not remove the stamp from the MISTI as you will need it again later on. Next, using a selection of PinkFresh Studio Liquid watercolours add a light wash over the design. The colours used for this design were Aquamarine, Sky Blue and Sapphire.

To ensure it is a light wash, use the wet to wet technique. To do this, lay down clear water over your design then add wet colour over the top allow the colour to move and blend out. Allow this light wash layer to dry.

Next, using similar colours, go in with my pigmented colours into each area of the design. Apply the colour to the dry paper, pulling the colour out with clear water to soften and blend out to create depth and dimension. Once you are happy with your colouring set this to dry.

Take an 80lb piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest and using the Altenew Dotted Scales Debossing Cover die, run this through your die-cutting machine. This will create some tone on tone texture to the background of the card without taking away from your colouring.

Using some of the corresponding watercolours, splatter some of the liquid onto the debossed panel. After this has dried, trim the panel down and mount onto a cardbase made out of 110lb matching cardstock.

Once the watercoloured piece has dried, position your watercoloured piece back into your MISTI and this time stamp over the coloured design with embossing ink. Cover this with Platinum Embossing powder and heat set.

At the same time, also heat emboss the 'Love You' sentiment from the stamp set onto a strip of black card.

Fussy cut the sentiment out and foam mount this onto the card panel along with the sentiment strip. To finish the card off, add a few colour corresponding sequins and Ebony Black Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops.
