Bold backgrounds with simple stamping

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Hope you are having a good week. Today I have three cards created using one stamp set and the simple circle shapes that come in the Lawn Fawn 'Let's Bokeh' stamp set. Combined with Altenew ink sets you can create some really bold backgrounds with simple stamping.

Sending big hugs (and flowers!) details:

Now, I found it easiest to use a stamping positioner for making these cards, such as a Misti or Tonic Platform. However, you can do these just as easily with an acrylic block. The OCD in me wanted it to line up - but you can do this fairly well with acrylic blocks.
For the red card, I started with the largest circle at the top of the card and stamped this in Grapevine along the top - half hanging off the edge. I stamped each circle a couple of times for a dark rich colour.
For the next line, I offset the circle and stamped this in a base layer of Ruby red, followed by one layer of Grapevine and then another layer with Ruby red. This allows for the colour gradient from the darker colour to the next line of the lighter colour. For the third line, the stamp was repositioned further down as though the pattern is starting to fade out and this was stamped purely in ruby red.
For the remaining circles, I used a combination of Ruby Red and Coral Berry, and Coral Berry on its own. These were space further out as I went down the paper. The stamp set comes with some outlines of different circles as well. I heat embossed these in gold at varying positions over the panel for interest.
This card was finished off with a gold layered die cut sentiment and heat embossed sentiment strip. Lastly, gold sequins were added with Multi medium-matte adhesive.
For this blue card, I only used one size circle and created another ombre effect with the Altenew inks, starting with Arctic at the top and Saphire at the bottom. In addition, I repeatedly heat embossed in platinum the large circle outline, offset in between a group of large stamped circles.
Again I added a Lawn Fawn layered 'Happy' die cut sentiment with an embossed sentiment strip. To take the layered die cut sentiment up a notch, I covered it with Wink of Stella. A few colour corresponding sequins were adhered, once more with Multi medium-matte adhesive.
For this last card, I wanted the stamping to come in from one corner and appear more organic. I also choose more muted colours so this card could suit a masculine recipient. Using the Warm Grey Altenew Ink set, I stamped the circles coming in from the top right corner. As the circles moved more into the card, I spaced the circles out and lightened the colours.
Using a small line circle, I heat embossed in silver within a circle in a random pattern across the card. Another layered die cut sentiment was adhered along with a stamped sentiment strip. To finish the card off, I add a few Nuvo drops scattered about.
