Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. When I see paint brushes with stamps and dies especially this Artful Tulip die from Spellbinders, I automatically think of rainbows, and I went with rainbow on this card! To make this card stand out, I decided to make a shaped card and I'm sharing how easy it! So lets get started create a circle-shaped card!
Written and photos Creating a circle shaped card - Spellbinders Artful Brush die:
Die-cut 3 brush handles from the Artful Tulip die set out of cream coloured cardstock. Using a blend brush apply brown ink to one side of the handles to create depth and shadow to your brush handles. In addition, die-cut the top of the brush out of brown card stock and adhere these to the handle by taping these together on the back. Die-cut the bristles die from the die-set out of cream card stock and adhere to the top of the brush handle.
To create the foliage, die-cut the leaves out of two green coloured cardstock. In addition, die-cut the tulip dies from the set out of a rainbow of coloured cardstock. Using liquid adhesive, adhere the foliage and tulips to the bristles of the brushes. Group the colours together so that the rainbow runs across the brushes in the correct colour order. Finish the brushes off by die-cutting the metal band and the end of the brushes and adhere these onto the brushes.
To create the background, watercolour vertical stripes onto a piece of water colour cardstock in rainbow colours. With a circle die, die-cut out of this watercolour background. In addition, die-cut a circle out of white card, and score at ½ from the top of the circle. Reinforce the fold and add double-sided tape above the fold before adhering the watercolour background circle die-cut on.
To assemble the card, adhere the brushes onto the front over lapping the handles. Add a heat emboss a sentiment from the Paint Your World Sentiments stamp set in gold embossing powder. Die-cut this with a circle die, and mat this onto a gold circle die. Lastly, finish the card off by embellishing with a rainbow of gem stone.
