Well Hello There,
I do hope you are all staying well.
I'm a huge fan of Distress Oxides like most crafty folk. The colour blends and combinations you can archive are amazing. A few months back the most talented Kristina Werner brought out a video all about the different combinations, she had come up with. I add the link here well worth a watch.

I decided to make a swatch book of all the different combo's. Which I keep handy on my desk.
It inspires me to use my stencils more and to achieve the tone of my project.
I was look for a girly background combination, for this weeks card as I wanted to thank our post lady who is so sweet and caring. She always checks everything is OK, not to mention delivering a fantastic service with a smile.
Anyway, I had recently received some beautiful stencils from Honey Bee Stamps and was eager to use them.
I choose the third combination in the first set that Kristina shows. (Love and Valentines)
It is a combination of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet.
This was the results of my combination.

Method
First cut a piece of neenah cardstock to 5.5" x 5.5" and attach the smaller diamond stencil to it.
Then start blending on the oxides, with the lightest colour first. Start at the top and work down in lines. Then add the next shade and finally the darker shade .
Then remove the stencil and splat the design with your aqua shine gloss pen. I put a little on a glass mat added some water and flick with a paint brush on to my work.
Why you die cut your sentiment using the thank you die leave your panel to dry. I cut my sentiment from, white then black card stock.
Attach this to your dry panel and stick on a few heart gems.
finally with a white jelly roll pen draw stitching around the outside of your work.
I mounted this to my card blank.
Also I used the Hexagon shape mask also from Honey Bee to create another card.
This time I blending from the centre out.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my post this week.
Happy Stamping
Jo
