Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. There is a fun release from Catherine Pooler Designs which has this amazing lantern die, which with a little die-cutting can be turned into a fun shaker card. I'm also showing you my tips for ink blending light onto your card. So let's get started.

Written and photos Ink blending light onto your card:

Start by heat embossing a white card panel with Perissa Embossing powder from WOW! - This will create a fake metal look. Using the Camping lantern die, die-cut this out of the embossed panel as well as 4 pieces of white card.

To make the shaker card easier to shake, fussy cut away the inner of the latern on the white die-cut pieces. Die-cut the outline Lantern die from the Camping Lantern die set out of acetate and adhere this between the embossed die-cut and the rest of the white die cuts.

For the ink blending, start of by ink blending the yellow in the middle as this is the lightest colour. You may wish to position the lantern over the top at times to make sure the light fits.

Next with a blending brush, ink blend Suede Shoes ink from the edges inwards, softening this up before you get to the yellow ink. Lastly, add Dress Blue right at the edges to darken to the colour. Add some oranges sequins from the Tuscany sequin mix over the yellow and adhere the lantern over the top to encase the sequins.

To finish the card off, heat emboss some of the flies from the Night In Flight stamp set and use the coordinating dies to add to the front. Lastly, add a stamped sentiment from the Dreaming Of France stamp set.
