Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Today I'm showing you how to style and design a modern card with a simple monotone scheme. Here I using a modern grey for cardmaking and creating a beautiful thinking of you card - this is a great card to send as an alternative to a sympathy card. Here there is a touch of colour with the heat embossing and hot foiling which pairs beautifully with the soft grey tones.

With a piece of Granite Hero Hues card stock, hot foil in Blush Glimmer Hot Foil the splatters from the Splatter Sentiments Hot Foil Plate set. Foil these on opposite corners of your card panel.
Stamp and heat emboss in rose gold embossing powder the outline stamps from the Book Engravings stamp set and cut out with the coordinating dies. With a soft grey alcohol marker, carefully add subtle shading to the flowers to add a little dimension.
Foam mount the flowers and leaves onto the card. Add a small hot foiled sentiment on a matching colour cardstock and foam mount this onto the card. Lastly, finish the card by adding a few clear nuvo drops.
