Good Morning, How fantastic is the weather a the moment.

I decided to pullout the distress pads, as I'm always pulling the oxides out but never the original.

So I thought let go back to the basics. I know I've probably shown this technique before but I just love it as I'm not good at water colouring.

A selection of Distress Ink pads ( I used Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, and Rusty Hinge. also Tea Dye Oxide for my sentiment tag)

4 1/2 x 6 " Piece of Water Colouring Card Stock

5 x 7 " Card Blank

A Paint Brush and Water or a Water Brush

Method

Stamp the cactus image in Forest moss,

and the pot in rusty hinge.

Then on your glass mat, stamp your ink pads in Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive and carefully paint in the cactus body. Once it dry go on and colour in the pot. in rusty hinge.

At this point i added another part of the cactus.

I then started using the inks around the white space on my work. stamping first and second generation inks. I also add pattern to the pot by stamping in the same rusty hinge. Using a blending brush i picked up a little shabby shutters and softened the edges.

Finally I stamped the sentiment in black waterproof ink and coloured with a little tea dye oxide.

A simple but fun technique.

happy Stamping

Jo
