Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. If you caught my post last week for Bumbleberry's you'll have seen the grey tulips I painted and so many people really love how it turned out. I love creating with that grey but this week I used it along with adding a pop of colour on this very simple card design. When choosing the stamp, I decided to go with a closely drawn floral arrangement for a loser style card and the PinkFresh Studio Full Bloom stamp was perfect for this card!

Start off by heat embossing in gold embossing powder the Full Bloom stamp onto watercolour cardstock. To colour the flowers, I used the Crimson marker from the Tropical Fiester Watercolour Brush marker set from Altenew. I added a small amount of liquid watercolour to the inners of the petal and use a clean brush with clear water to pull the colour out and fade over the petal.
I was wanting a soft red colour, and this was a little brighter than I had planned. To mute the colour, I overlayed with the Evening Gray marker from the Spring Garden Watercolour Brush marker set from Altenew. I only add a small amount of the base of the petals to help glaze the colour.
For the leaves in the design, I used my favourite grey Evening Gray and use it without mixing in any other colour. This contrasts lovely against the flowers as they are adding a pop of colour.
To finish the card, I added a heat embossed sentiment from the stamp set onto the card. This was heat embossed in white onto black card and fussy cut out before foam mounted on the front. Lastly, the card was embellished with a few matt gold sequins.
