One simple die - 3 elegant Christmas cards

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Today I've got a trio of cards using one simple die and I've got a beautiful teal-inspired Christmas colour combination. This fun and whimsical 'More Holiday Decorations' die from Spellbinders can create stunning and elegant cards with such ease by using a beautiful colour combination. And if you pair it will some sparkle and shine it will catch anybody's eye! I've also shown you three ways to simply change the background with one die to get three different looks so effortlessly. So let's get started!

For this first card, dry emboss a piece of Granite Hero Hues cardstock with the Diamond Stars 3D Embossing folder, trimming this down to foam mount onto a white card base.

Die-cut the hanging lights garland out of gold mirror cardstock twice and attach to the background at an angle, trimming off any overhang. Next, emboss 3 sheets of white card with 3 different colours of embossing powder - here I used glitter embossing powder for added effect and use a white, gold an teal colour combination to create elegance.

Die-cut the lights from the embossed card panels and layer up the two die-cut layers before adhere to the front of the card. Lastly, add a gold foiled sentiment to the front - this is from an older Spellbinders Christmas Glimmer plate.

For this second card, stamp the Catherine Pooler Making Waves background stamp in embossing ink and cover with white pearl embossing powder before heat setting. This shows you how to use a non-holiday design stamp with your holiday cards!

Trim the background panel down and foam mount onto a white card base for a tone on tone look. Next, add three gold hanging light garlands to the front along with the heat embossed light bulbs, alternating the colours for interest.

Lastly, add a hot foiled sentiment to the front of the card. Here, I hot foiled the a sentiment from the Christmas Magic Glimmer Hot Foil Plate in Matte Gold Hot Foil onto Granite Hero Hues Cardstock.

For this last card, I've kept it nice a simple. Using a large blending brush, ink blend Skylight Catherine Pooler ink onto a white card panel from one corner fading this out. With a small round paint brush, splatter on gold paint using the Metallic 14 Pan watercolour set from Altenew.

Trim the panel down and add this to a white cardbase. Next, add a single strand of the light garland across the ink blended corner and add the heat embossed lights over the top.

Add another hot foiled Christmas sentiment on Granite Hero Hues cardstock, foam mounting this off to one side. lastly, add a few clear jewels to embellish the card.
