Create a CAS card with cute stamps! (Catherine Pooler Designs Hey There Dumpling)

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. We all have our own style and we might think that some stamps might not fit into your style. I'm not one for cute stamps, I often think that I cant work them. That they won't suit my style of card making. However, I loved the look of the Catherine Pooler Hey There Dumpling stamp set and really wanted a way to use it will my style of crating. Therefore, I thought what is the best style for incorporating a cute stamp set into my design aesthetic of modern cards - CAS cards of course! This is a perfect way to use cute stamps if it's not your norm. So let's get started!

For me, the best way to use cute stamps for a CAS card is to use a modern colour palette. I found that using colours from Catherine Pooler designs Spa collection perfect for this. These muted tones work well with the Hey There Dumpling Stamp & Die set to create a fresh modern card.

Stamp the various images onto white cardstock in the following colours: Hot Tub, DayDream, Polished, Rouge, Rose Petals and Twilight ink. For the bottle, I suggest die-cutting first and then stamping. In addition, use BlackJack ink to stamp the cute faces.

Next, use the coordinating dies to die-cut the coordinating images out. To create a fresh look, it is best to assembling the images around a sentiment. Heat emboss a sentiment from the stamp set in gold embossing powder just below the middle point.

For added interest in this CAS card, add foam pads to the die-cuts for varying dimension. Lastly, to complete the fresh modern style, add a few plain gold sequins to tie in with the sentiment. The richness of the gold works well with the muted colour palette.
