Well Hello Crafty Friends,
I have two cards for you today, using the beautiful large floral image from Honey Bee Stamps.
I am not usually fond of this kind of design, as i'm more an character artist. But I just kept looking, at this image and I wanted to challenge myself. By stepping out of my comfort zone.
So here we go
Unfortunately I had to make a sympathy card this month, when I read the sentiments to this stamp set this was perfect. Then after enjoying this challenge so much, i went on to make an autumnal card for a Oct/ Nov Birthday.

METHOD
Firstly take a piece of neenah 80lb cardstock .
Stamp out the large floral image, using alcohol friendly ink.
Colour your image, with your alcohol markers. add details and shading with your pencils.
Next I used a blending brush and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide, to go around the outside of the card blank.
I then stamped my sentiment and re stamped my image, using my Misti in versafine Onyx Black Ink.
Next I did exactly the same, only changing the colours, of pencils.
I used a light blue pencils to go around the outside of the image.
Stamped my sentiment.
Lastly I added Nuvo Drops to finish of my card.
I must say, that I enjoyed this style of design so much I may just widen my horizons.
I will definitely look at more large floral's in future.
Happy Stamping
Jo
