Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Hot foil stamping is very on trend and as Bumbleberry's now stocks Spellbinders hot foil plates, you options just got bigger. This also includes the hot foil rolls, and today I'm playing with the Matte Silver Hot Foil roll. I absolutely love the Matte Gold hot foil roll, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the silver one too. If you prefer more of a subtle shine to your foiling, I recommend you try the matte foils out.
Written and photos Frame your inking with hot foiling:
Start hot foiling the Magnolia Glimmer Blooms plate in Matte Silver Hot Foil Roll onto pale purple cardstock. Use the coordinating die from the set to cut this out. Add some detail to the flowers with a blending brush and add small amounts of Flirty Fuschia, Glam and Drive-in ink to the middle of the flowers.
Use the same colour of inks to add some soft ink blending to a white card panel. Add some dark ink splatter by smooshing your Drive-in Ink onto an acrylic block and spritze with water. Using a paint brush, add some splatter to the background and set to one side to dry.
To help ground the flowers, foil the Geo Foliage Hot Foil Frame onto Edible Eggplant in Matte Silver Hot Foil Roll and use the coordinating dies to cut this out. Add this to the background panel before foam mounting the flower onto the front.
To finish this card off, add a sentiment to the front on Edible Eggplant cardstock and embellish with Matte Silver sequins.
