Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. The recent release from Catherine Pooler Designs has some beautiful winter inspired designs perfect for creating Christmas cards or cards to fit the season. Today I'm showing you how to create this fun Slimline falling snowflakes card featuring the new Scrolling Snowflakes stamp & die set. These Scrolling snowflakes have such a beautiful elegant design and each snowflake in the set is unique, just in real life! So, let's get started.
Written and photos Slimline falling snowflakes:
Start off stamp the snowflakes from the Scrolling Snowflakes stamp set in clear embossing ink. Make sure you stamp many of these. Next, cover half with gold embossing powder and the other half with white embossing powder.
Once the powder is set, use the direct to paper method to colour the snowflakes with the following ink pads: Dress Blue, Suede Shoes, Something Borrowed, Drive-In, Serenade, Tranquil. The embossing powder will resist the ink as we drag the ink pads over the snowflakes.
After the snowflakes are coloured, use the coordinating dies to cut the snowflakes out. In addition, cut the largest frame from the Winter Frames Slimline die set out of white card.
Now it is time to start adding the snowflakes to the card. Start adding some directly to a slimline card base allowing some to overhang the edge. Next, foam mount the white frame on top and continue to add more snowflakes overlapping the frame. Trim any excess snowflakes at this point.
To finish the card, heat emboss the sentiment from the Scrolling Snowflakes stamp set and embellish with sequins from Portland and Park Avenue Sequin mix.
