Stamping with your Bullet Journal

24/7 365 Altenew Avery Elle bullet journal floral vine Geo Frames stamp MFT Mini well-connected alphabet & numbers modern calligraphy

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Today I've got a slightly different post from making cards with your stamps. Instead, I'm hoping to inspire you to use your stamps with bullet journaling. If you don't bullet journal, I really recommend it. I did it last year and was really organised in life in general. However, things slid with my journal and I got out of the habit from using it as it took too long to make it look pretty inside. However, a new bullet Journal (Canvo) within the craft industry that has much thicker paper than regular bullet journals. This means we stampers can use our bullet journal and no bleeding of ink through to the next page. Bumbleberry's stock some great stamp sets for using in planners and journals and journals and I've plenty of inspiration using them.

Stamping with your Bullet Journal details:

For my 'Hello January page' I used the Altenew Geo frames stamp for the title and masked this off. Then using the Warm Grey Altenew ink cubes, I stamped the floral images from the Altenew Floral Vine stamp set in the background. For the title, I used a soft blue ink with modern calligraphy stamp set to spell the title out. Beforehand, I a whole title page with intricacy like this would have taken me hours, but with stamps, it is so quick and easy!
You might be able to faintly see an error - I stamped the 'J' and the 'Y' first in January to try and get placement right. However, I was too widely spaced apart and therefore had to move the j more to the left. To cover my mistake, I used a white gel pen over the top and you can hardly tell it is there.
For the monthly overview, I drew out the boxes, but use a selection of stamps to decorate the page. Again, I used the Modern Calligraphy set by Avery Elle for the month title. For the day letters at the top of the page, I used the 'Mini well-connected alphabet & numbers' stamp set from MFT.
I had written the numbers but used a little square stamp from the Altenew 365 stamp set to add a little colour. For the floral decoration, I used the Avery Elle Modern Calligraphy stamp set, which has a few floral elements. I used a selection of warm greys and soft blues/navy for the decoration.
For my weekly overview, I used the Altenew Geo Frames stamp set to a section of my days. As I work in the week, I find I organise more at the weekend, and therefore create a larger space for Saturday and Sunday compared to the weekdays. This is a personal preference and you can change this to suit your needs.
The Altenew 365 stamp set also comes with a stamp set for the month to allow you to have a small overview of the month, as I have in the top left-hand corner. In addition, this stamp set comes with small month stamps perfect size to go with this. For 'week 2' I used the mini well-connected stamp set from MFT.
You may be wondering why I have week 2 up and not week 1, well you can see my week 1 below. It went a little bit wrong, hadn't planned it out so well but I can still use it. I decided not to decorate it, but I have learnt from my mistakes for the rest of the month.
For the last few days of the month, I wanted to add a section in where I review the month - trying to incoporate a little midfluness in my journal. I had a lot more space on these pages and therefore stamp a lot more of the flora elements around.
I hope this has inspired you to try using your stamps with bullet journaling, or perhaps have a go at bullet journal. If you are interested in bullet journalling, google Ryder Caroll - the found of bullet journalling to learn more.
