Watercoloring with distress Oxides

Hi everybody! Today 'm sharing a waterdcolor card using the Blossom & Bloom stamp set from Altenew and Distress Oxide Ink Pads.

The Distress Oxide Inks are now in the shop and you can see them all HERE.
I love this beautiful stamp by Altenew, shop HERE. We're going to do a very easy watercolor today which took about 20 minutes.

Instructions

  1. Trim a piece of watercolor card 4.75 inches by 3.5 inches and stamp your floral image.
  2. Color your leaves with Chromatek Brush Pen Yellow Green, and Green. Then add a little Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide towards the base of the leaves.
  3. Start laying Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide color down on your florals, a little at a time.
  4. Once the color is built up, add Wilted Violet to the base of the flowers and draw out.
  5. Color the centres of the flowers with Light/Sunshine Yellow Chromatek Brush Pens.
  6. Once dry, add white ink splatter.
  7. White heat emboss the sentiment onto black card.
  8. Mat and layer up with a piece of black card 5 inches by 3.75 inches.
  9. Adhere to an A2 card base with foam pads.
  10. Add sentiment and a dew see-through sequins.

I love coloring with distress inks and oxides, they are amazing to ink blend with but also for those fun watercolours! Thanks for visiting today and see you next week!
Lots of love, kittenmoose x
